Emily & Adam | Dumbo Loft Winter Wedding | Brooklyn, NY

January 18th, 2020, Emily and Adam’s wedding day, started out chilly, but not too cold, hinting at a soft snowfall. Just prior to their afternoon ceremony, beautiful snow lightly dusted the cobblestone streets outside The Dumbo Loft. It was everything you could hope for for a winter wedding.

My favorite thing about Emily and Adam is how they balance each other. They have a playful, energetic relationship, always laughing and leading with their values. Blending their faith and families on their wedding day was important to both, incorporating Jewish traditions like breaking a glass, and the Quaker ritual where all those present sign the marriage certificate as witnesses. Inclusivity and equality were on display right at the start of their marriage, Emily wearing her “Feminist as Fuck” earrings and a “love and resistance” sweater from Lingua Franca. She was proud to use her wedding day to assemble and support a vendor team primarily of womxn-owned businesses.

Other personal touches from friends and family were sprinkled throughout the day and decor. Everything from custom artwork used on the invitations, cake topper, and coloring pages for children to centerpieces named after locations of their special memories with selfies from those dates. There was even a unique “I Do Brew”, a coffee milk stout made locally in Brooklyn just for them.

It was a perfect snowy wedding day. View images and the complete vendor team below.
