Madison & Alex | Central Park Engagement Session

Madison and Alex are the ultimate super chill, super cool, west coast couple. (I mean, check out that jumper and hot sauce shirt!) They moved to New York City from California last year, after dating in college, and getting engaged at the Mayan Ruins in Mexico. When the two of them first reached out after finding me on the Bridechilla vendor directory, I knew they were going to be a ton of fun.

On the sunny morning of their Upper West Side engagement session, we started out at their local community garden. They are hoping to grow their own food in the future, so they have planted their own little plot right in Manhattan! The stunning green ivy wall made the perfect backdrop. The flowers, fruits, and veggies were the most beautiful colors for photos, as was the orange blanket they brought from the vacation when Alex proposed. From the garden, we ventured over to the iconic Central Park, exploring all the small, magical paths, tunnels, and bridges along the way.

Congratulations to the happy couple! Can’t wait for your spring wedding in Cali!

Robert & Michael | Central Park Elopement | New York, NY

Robert & Michael came up to NYC from Atlanta to elope on an absolutely beautiful fall day this past October. We bonded over our mutual love of dogs and strolled through the park to their ceremony spot at Shakespeare Garden. To be the only witness in such an intimate moment is truly awe-inspiring, as their sweet love was so calming to be around.

Thank you to the amazing officiant sister team at Once Upon A Vow for connecting us and congrats again to this handsome couple!

Jenna & James | Prospect Park Engagement Session | Brooklyn, NY

James proposed to Jenna in February, after six years of dating. Following a busy fall season in their respective careers, the pair had time to finally think about scheduling an engagement session when Jenna found my work on Instagram. We hit it off over the phone. She mentioned that they are a Taurus and an Aries, love color, and are always laughing together.

The couple knew they wanted beautiful, autumnal foliage, as well as their candid and casual style, to be reflected in their photos. Being mid-November, the leaves were already rapidly falling, but we were lucky to get a session in on one of the very last weekends with lush, colorful trees! Would you believe NYC got hit with six inches of snow two days prior?! Thankfully, it melted away just in time.

It was so much fun wandering around Prospect Park and playing in the leaves with these two! Congratulations on your engagement and future together, Jenna & James!

Natty & Morgan | Central Park Micro Wedding | New York, NY

Natty and Morgan first found my work on Offbeat Bride. It was easy to tell right away they were my kind of couple. I was immediately hooked at the mention of a fun, intimate ceremony, and a sequin dress! One of my favorite things about photographing such important moments is getting to know my couples and their love stories. As we emailed more and more, I saw how special and silly the love they share is.

On a bright and warm Monday morning, I met these two, their pastor, and six of their closest friends at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park. We walked around the fountain enjoying the sunshine, and they shared a classic NYC soft pretzel for breakfast. Once the ceremony began, everyone (including Olivia and me) started crying! No other couple has made me as emotional while reading their vows. It was the most heartfelt and loving union I’ve ever witnessed.

After the promises were made and rings exchanged, they shared their first dance as a married couple, followed by a champagne toast and group dance party. We strolled through Central Park, took the subway to Mom’s Kitchen & Bar for some “Bigmouth shakes”!

Congrats to Natty & Morgan on their new home, their marriage, and start of the rest of their lives together. Wishing you all the glittery, tattooed happiness in the world!

Their elopement was later featured on Offbeat Bride! Full circle!
