Carnival Styled Wedding Inspiration | Brooklyn, NY

A few months ago my good friend and fellow Rising Tide Society member, Yari Santiago, of Cake and Champagne NYC, came to me with an idea for a styled shoot. It would be carnival themed, which is something she knew was right up my alley! There is a glamorous spin on the theme which was so fun because who doesn't love sparkles?!

It was supposed to be a rainy, overcast Saturday, but the sun shined on us at Coney Island. It turned out to be warm and beautiful for our first styled shoot! Our models, Brooklyn and Darryl, are a real life, amazingly adorable couple living in Brooklyn.

Thank you so much to all the vendors (listed below) who donated time, services and products to make this happen.

Karina & Tom | Dumbo Loft Wedding | Brooklyn, NY

Four weeks ago, Karina and Tom said "I Do" in front of all their family and friends at The Dumbo Loft. It was the perfect backdrop for this lovely DIY ceremony and reception. The bride's twin sister did her makeup, her mother cooked tamales for dinner, and all pitched in to make it the most beautiful celebration of love for these newlyweds. Congratulations Karina & Tom!

Lauren & Bartley | Prospect Park Engagement Session | Brooklyn, NY

Prospect Park was the perfect choice for an early spring engagement session for these two (plus their pup). After a long engagement, they will finally be tying the knot at the boat house this summer! Congratulations Lauren and Bartley (and Penny)!

Special thank you to Alison Semmler, owner of Lifestyle Maven Events, for introducing me to a great couple!

Shardé & Michael | Lower East Side Engagement Session | New York, NY

When I met up with Shardé and Michael to capture their engagement photos, I knew we were in for a fun afternoon on the Lower East Side. They were so excited to get in front of the camera and celebrate their love.

One of the first things Michael told me was that he knew he was going to marry Shardé the moment he saw her four years prior.

After goofing around with the colorful murals downtown, the couple changed into a formal look and we headed over to Brooklyn Bridge Park.

Keeping it casual, or getting all dressed up, this couple shines so brightly together. Congratulations Shardé and Michael! Special thank you to Alison from Lifestyle Maven Events for introducing me to to these two.
